Title: pilgrim
Gender: Male
Age: 57
Location: Syracuse, NY
About Me:
I was an atheist by the 5th grade, even at that tender age realizing that anthropomorphic theism was naive and simplistic.
I was an existentialist by high school, heavily influenced by Shakespeare (Macbeth, Hamlet, Julius Caesar) from English Classes and Albert Camus (L'Etranger) from French Classes.
College - well, I started in 1969 which is self explanatory. Let's say I majored in Philosophy, Theology and Religion and minored in “Empirical Pharmacology.” Western Realism gave way to Eastern Idealism. I had the honor and life changing experience of learning from Raimon Panikkar both as a professor of Religious Studies as well as a spiritual guide and teacher.
I have been a seeker ever since. Beyond middle age physically, but still a babe spiritually.
Two quotes I live by:
“Believe those who seek the truth; doubt those who find it” – Andre Gide
“Those who say, know not; those who know, say not.”
